With the confrontation of Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman, Jr., Newsweek expounds on Mormons, “Mormons Rock“…
Representative Brady of Texas’ 8th Congressional District outlined several tax cuts labeled The CUTS Act of 2011. The proposal lists specific ideas as federal cost-cutting measures. Among the concepts is a 15% decrease in White House and Congressional budgets. A great start.
Was it President Obama’s intention to sideline Jon Huntsman, Jr. by appointing him Ambassador to China? Newsweek published an interesting article this month on Huntsman and questioned him about his ambitions. Perhaps a Presidential bid for 2012 or 2016?
I have been reading a lot lately about the cause of our nation’s current economic turmoils. While searching I came across a couple very interesting articles. First of all, an article entitled, Fannie Mae Eases Credit to Aid Mortgage Lending. This is no big deal until you get to the third paragraph which reads,
Fannie Mae, […]
I had a friend send along a link to an interesting story by John Mark Reynolds entitled, “California and Thank-A-Mormon Day.” Just by the title you know it is regarding California’s Proposition 8. It is difficult to find such positive reinforcement out there in the liberal blogosphere, so thanks Mr. Reynolds! It is deeply appreciated.
Two-term U.S. Senator Gordon Smith (R-Oregon) lost his seat due to the Constitution Party drawing conservative votes away to their own party candidate. Here are the unofficial final results:
Jeff Merkley (Democrat) … 48.8%
Gordon Smith (Republican) … 45.7%
Dave Brownlow (Constitution) … 5.2%
The Constitution Party’s National Chairman, James Clymer, brazenly declared
It’s good news for the Constitution Party when […]

More exact, I frequently hear remarks from these colleagues indicating “Mormons vote as a block” or “Mormons are all Republicans.” Rather than being defensive about my religious beliefs, I normally present the argument that the LDS Church endorses […]
I received an email a couple hours ago from The Heritage Foundation. Apparently the Obama campaign released a 30-second television advertisement with false information and then repeated the information on their website. The “information” is that the Obama campaign wrongly suggests The Heritage Foundation supports Obama’s tax plan and is purposefully misleading voters. An attorney from […]
I wrote on this topic a while back, but wanted to bring it up again. Notwithstanding the woes on Wall Street, the American Dollar is again finding its foothold. Sure, it might be due to the fact that worldwide economies are slipping themselves, thereby elevating America’s stance among them. Regardless, we are gaining ground. Latest reports […]
What an unexpected, yet splendid surprise to learn McCain’s running mate will be Governor Sarah Palin, of Alaska! Palin is the first woman the GOP has nominated to the presidential office and the timing I say is better late than never. She has “real” leadership experience (Commander of Alaska’s prestigious National Guard), she is a constitutionalist (she […]
