I wrote on this topic a while back, but wanted to bring it up again. Notwithstanding the woes on Wall Street, the American Dollar is again finding its foothold. Sure, it might be due to the fact that worldwide economies are slipping themselves, thereby elevating America’s stance among them. Regardless, we are gaining ground. Latest reports show the follwing:

It takes $0.83 to purchase a Canadian Dollar.
It takes $1.72 to purchase a British Pound.
It takes $1.34 to purchase a Euro.

The American Dollar is up around 17% against the British Pound in the last few months. This is great news! As a sidenote, last year I told my wife if the dollar ever rose in value so that it would purchase 3/4 of a British Pound we would have to plan a trip to London. Well… I might be taking that trip sooner than anticipated.
