I added a few more blogs to the blogroll today, most of them generally disagreeing with my point of view. Why did I add them? Because I appreciate a different opinion. It is a different opinion that can break the hard-line stance of some politicians and it is difference of opinion that ultimately brings about change. Most important of all, who can stand behind a politician who thinks that politics is as simple as never changing your point of view? I can’t stand the behavior of some who use the argument against a politician simply because, “he/she changes his/her opinion.” A person who is willing to change his/her opinion represents humility, one of the fundamental characters I think we should seek in our elected representatives. Of course you must not confuse “willing to change” with “change according to convenience” as the two are contradictory. Simply put, I sympathize with the politician who can stand up and admit, “I was wrong.” Anyway, welcome to the blogroll folks.
