Is Governor Mike Huckabee a rising star among Republicans? I just saw a national poll posted online at Presidential Election Polls that indicates a Mike Huckabee/Hillary Clinton match-up in the presidential race is a dead heat. The numbers show these comparisons from poll results collected as recent as December 2nd:

Clinton = 46%; Huckabee = 45%

Wow! I personally am a fan of Huckabee and his “realist” view on government issues, particularly his stance in favor of the Fair Tax. What a relief it would be to eliminate the IRS! I personally believe it is this specific issue, the Fair Tax, that is causing Governor Mitt Romney’s numbers to fall so rapidly. You might ask how. Well, Fair Tax supporters are literally flooding Iowa with their campaign agenda and it is there where Romney is losing support…. No, it is not for being a Mormon, but because he is against the Fair Tax. Does anyone think Romney can be swayed into supporting major tax reform such as this proposal? Time will tell.
